Homework Policy

• You are permitted to make up any missed homework, provided that you have a LEGAL absence. The makeup work must be handed in to me within the same week you return from your absence(s). If it is not handed in on time, your grade will remain a zero. • If you are present in class, but just did not complete your homework, you may make it up by the following class, for partial credit. If the makeup work is not handed in by the following day, the grade will remain a zero. • It is your responsibility to get your work handed in to me within the time periods stated above. • You may not make up missing homework if you cut class. • It is your responsibility to get the assignments you miss when you are absent.

Homework Assignments

Homework assignments will be posted on the SMARTBoard during class, on my website, and will be stated by the teacher. Students are responsible for keeping track of assignment due dates. Any time you are unsure of a due date or assignment requirements, please ask me in class or feel free to email me!

Making Up Quizzes

If you are legally absent the day of a quiz or exam, you have one week to make it up. It is your responsibility to see me and set a time to do so! If it is not make up within one week, you will recieve a zero. If there are extenuating circumstances, you must come see me in order to get an extension!

Attendance Policy

Remember the phrase, "9 you're on, 10 you're gone!" You are permitted 9 absences PER SEMESTER. Once you reach 9 absences, you will be placed on an attendance contract. If you are absent ONE time subsequent to that attendance contract, you may be dropped or denied credit for the course. Keep in mind, English credits are required for graduation! Your attendance is essential for success!
