Dear Students and Parents,

 

               In Mr. C’sTechnology Class, 3rd, 4th and 5th gradestudents will be expected to practice their keyboarding skills as monthlyhomework.  The purpose of this homeworkis to improve our keyboarding skills to become more proficient when typing.  Students will need to practice and passed theassigned typing lessons each month to complete their keyboarding homework. 

 


Keyboarding Homework Info

o  Mr. C will track each student digitally onTyping.com.

o  Parents can track progress & completion ontheir child’s typing.com account

o  Students need to log into their account in orderfor it to count

o  Once the student has passed the benchmark WPMand Accuracy % for each lesson it is considered completed (Students will be notified through Typing.com that the lesson iscomplete).

o  Students will have to repeat that typing lessonif did not meet the Benchmark WPM and Accuracy % until they pass it.

If students do not have a computer/internetaccess at home, here are some alternative options available to complete thiskeyboarding homework.  (1) Your child can practice beforeschool (7:30am -8am) and duringrecess in Mr. C’s Computer Lab most days. (2) Make arrangements withtheir classroom teachers for practice time.   (3)Students can also take advantage of the Public Library internet computers topractice.

19-201st Semester Keyboarding Homework

 

Dear Studentsand Parents,

 

            In Mr. C’s Technology Class, as weare continuing to explore many new aspects of Technology and STEM; 3rd,4th and 5th grade students will be expected to practicetheir keyboarding skills as monthly homework.  The purpose of this homework is to improve ourkeyboarding skills to become more proficient when typing.  Students will need to practice and passed theassigned typing lessons each month to complete their keyboarding homework. 

 


New this year:

·      No monthly homework sheets to fill out and return

o   Mr. C will track eachstudent digitally on Typing.com.

o   Parents can track progress& completion on their child’s typing.com account

o   Students need to log intotheir account in order for it to count

·      No more practicing 80 minutes each month

o   Once the student has passedthe benchmark WPM and Accuracy % for each lesson it is considered completed (Students will be notified through Typing.comthat the lesson is complete).

o   Students will have to repeatthat typing lesson if did not meet the Benchmark WPM and Accuracy % until theypass it.
