Exercise 2 - Vocabulary

Let's practise describing appearance using lots of body words and adjectives.

Listen to Wendy give you instructions on how to find the 'That's Life' program.

Show And Tell

This is a bag which we call a 'bilum'. In Papua New Guinea we use bilums at school, for shopping, and even to put new born babies in. There are many different styles but this one I'm holding is in the design of our flag. The bird is called a bird of paradise and it has five stars. When I carry my bilum I feel like I am back in my country again and I feel really good!

Show And Tell

" There is a tradition in my country that when a child is born the man gives his wife a present that is made of gold. So when I was born, my dad gave my mum this gold necklace. My mum always told me that I would inherit it one day. Before she died, she gave it to me so since then I wear it in memory of her." Radka
