Google Calender is a free time management application offered by Google. It is a quick and easy way to help all of us stay a little more organized. This of course benefits just about everyone from corporate American to the every day student. Co- workers can post and share their schedule with colleagues to inform of important dates and events. It can also be used by Teacher's to post due dates and assignments. This could help to eliminate all the excuses of why an assignment is late or not complete. We all live very busy lives and this free application that can also be synced to your smart phone is a safe bet to keep yourself and your students on time and up to date. Once you setup your calender you can have alerts and reminders sent to you via text or by email. I think the greatest part of Google Calenders is that it is all online and can be accessed anywhere at anytime.

Google Docs
Google Docs allows users to create word documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Unlike products like Microsoft Office, Google Docs does not need to be purchased and installed on every computer.
Google Docs is an online program that allows users the ability to collaborate on projects from any computer at any time. It is a safe and effective method when collaborating on projects because the members can control who has access to the information.
In an educational setting the use of Google Docs allows teachers to check in real time if a student has recently or is currently working on an assignment. It also allows teachers another outlet to provide corrective feedback and suggestions. With Google Docs there is no need to wait until the next day in school to view a students assignment. It can be checked periodically throughout the day and the teacher's convenience.
Although not as technical as Microsoft Office I think Google Docs is here to stay.
