Introduction
Welcome to a B & B in one of the most picturesque areas of France. St Pierre is situated between Brantome, voted the most beautiful town in France, and St Jean de Cole one of the most beautiful villages. Our house at St Pierre is an old village house that was formerly an Inn. It has large spacious rooms and retains much of its original character with large gardens bordering the river.It can accommodate up to eight adults plus three children in comfortable spacious rooms, two of which being en suite.
Where we are situated
We are situated in the Perigord Vert department of the Dordogne, 11km from Brantome on route to Thiviers. The nearest airports are Bergerac, Bordeaux or Limoges. The closest is Bergerac approximately 1½ hours drive away. Flights to Bergerac by lo-cost airlines are available all year round from the UK. Alternatively the journey from ferry ports takes around 6 hours.

Directly outside our salon is a terrace and lawn and beyond the lawn is a sheltered walled area for wining and dining, barbecuing and of course sunbathing.
There is a terraced area at the river’s edge where you can sit and relax and enjoy the peaceful seclusion or enjoy the children splashing about in the river. The river is a grade A trout river and as such is maintained and protected.

The sejour is roomy and has lots of character. It has a fitted corner kitchen with a choice of gas/electric oven and hob,combination microwave and fridge. Plus freezer and washing machine.
There is a large oak dining table & chairs which can seat up to eight. An original inglenook fireplace which can be lit on cooler spring and autumn evenings with the addition of electric wall heaters if needed.
The salon leads off from the kitchen and with window and door onto the garden. It has two comfortable sofa beds that can (if required) sleep four more persons. There is a television, dvd player, stereo and radio with a selection of tapes and CDs.

There are numerous beautiful walks to be had around the village and along the banks of the River Cole, and municipal tennis courts in the village that can be used. Swimming areas are easily accessible within eight kilometres, they have all the facilities necessary for children and adults to enjoy, and there are always life guards on duty to ensure safety for all.
Within six miles you have Brantome, its reputation is definitely justified. It is enchanting and sits on the River Dronne. It has restaurants, boutiques and a weekly market that’s a must, plus evening bric-a-brac markets in the summer as well as its fetes and festivals.
