Welcome to the Home of the Bobcats. SSMS is proud to offer a wide range of sports for our students with all coaches coming from within the teaching staff. We believe in not only developing our students academically but also athletically. We offer competitive, recreational and in house programs for our students and hope to see everyone out participating in a sport this year! Cross Country - Our X-country team has had a fairly successful season to date. Jake Hughes has led the charge with several first place finish Jake hs dominated the courses he has run. Cheerleading tryouts are still underway. If your son or daughter is interested please make sure they contact Susan MacDonald in the office. Stay turned for Pics of the weekly sports.

Congrats to the Bantam football players with big win last night. Jesse Thibault made Silverado history retrun a kick off for a touch down. Great job boys! Allister Nicholson has had a great start to the season with several goals and assist on several more. The grade 6 rookies are making their presence felt on the field. Keep up the great work. The Boys A played in three hard fought games today but with a short bench found it hard to keep up the intensity. Despite outplaying Nasis Middle school the Bobcats came up short with the winning goal being scored in the last minute of the game. Game 2 against George St. was a hard fought game but the boys were exhausted having only 25 minutes to recover. In the final game the boys bounced back defeating a physical team from Stanley 3-2.

Teams travel from St. Andrews to Fredericton and Saint John in search of games. Our student athletes represent the school and town with pride. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact the coach of your son or daughters team. Fees: Boys A / Girls A Soccer $60.00 Boys B / Birls B Soccer $25.00 Please make sure forms and payment is given to the office, not to the coaches.
