Vegan- No meat or animal based products(E.g milk, cheese etc) Vegetarian - no Meat products or food contain meat products ( e.g gelatine) Pestatarian- Eats fish and no meat. Intolerances /allergies to certain foods Milk- lactose intolerance in milk or dairy products. Bread- gluten intolerance/wheat allergy Nut allergy - can be life threatening . Fruit allergy- Kiwi, strawberries Egg allergy- By itself or in products. Soy allergy Corn allergy. You will be asked to write how having this diet has affected their lifes . What would they be defiencant in? What are they lacking in terms of micronutrients and Macronutrients? What effect will this have on their body ? E.g tired etc . What should they eat to make sure they are healthy . What substitutions could they make ? E.g for a vegan instead of meat they could have Tofu and Kidney beans for protein, calcuim and iron. Write down what you would give the other diets as your substitutions.
