We, the students of the Gifted and Talented Classroom, will commit ourselves to learn all we can learn and be all we can be.  

We will remain proactive in a rigorous academic environment in order to meet our advanced needs.  

We will exhibit positive leadership skills, so we can be effective leaders in our school and in our community.

Classroom Rules

1.Respect yourself

5. When others are speaking, listen respectfully, do not interrupt
6. Follow directions the first time they are given and follow them quickly.
7. Raise your hand to speak

Netequitte Rules

  1. Ask yourself, “Would I say this to the person’s face?”  If not, don’t say it on line

  2. Do not type in ALL CAPS as it represents shouting

  3. Be respectful of your classmates.  It’s OK to disagree, but it is not OK to belittle classmates’ ideas and writing.  Do not flame or use harsh criticism.

  4. Be Forgiving

  5. Avoid using humor or sarcasm.  A lack of facial expression can cause people to misinterpret humor as a personal attack.

  6. Proofread before posting for spelling and punctuation errors.

  7.  Be Forgiving

  8. Be aware of classmates’ diverse backgrounds.  Try not to monopolize discussions, but encourage others to participate.
